Although renovating buildings to current standards is intrinsically less polluting than constructing new buildings, we must nevertheless pay particular attention to our GHG emissions. This care must be applied as much during the renovation of a dwelling as it is in the years following its rental.</p><p id="">In order to reduce our GHG emissions, it is essential to be able to measure them beforehand. This is why we wanted to calculate our carbon footprint with Greenly. This allowed us to better structure our environmental policy and to draw our action plan to reduce our emissions in the long term.&nbsp;</p><p>‍</p><h2>Why Greenly? 🌱</h2><p>We compared several offers and it was obvious that Greenly best met our expectations and needs. We wanted to get a quick and accurate calculation to understand our GHG impact, and Greenly had the ideal tool to give us a clear view of our various carbon emission items. Furthermore, the ADEME certification of the calculation method certified the legitimacy of the result.</p><h2>‍<strong id="">Update on Masteos' carbon footprint 📊</strong></h2><p id="">Masteos' carbon footprint not only takes into account direct and energy-related emissions (Scope 1 &amp; 2), but also indirect emissions caused by service providers and services used by the company (Scope 3). This operation is taking place on 3 neglected plots of land, with a total surface area of 4.50 hectares. These uncultivated meadows have no real environmental value. Therefore, this reforestation process will restore their ecological potential by encouraging the appearance of a vegetation cover on the area.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p id="">Trees of various species are therefore introduced to the plot.
