Your product purchase imports now draw on over 80,000 emission factors from EcoInvent 3.12, and the categorization is overall more accurate. Matching is now transparent: each result shows a clear quality level and an explanation, instead of a simple confidence label. Upload your file as usual; your template doesn’t change.

Product purchase matching on more emission factors, more accurate, and transparent

Double-counting checks can be time-consuming when it’s unclear which activities may match a transaction. With one click on “Investigate with Ecopilot”, you get an AI-powered investigation that searches relevant transactions and activities, surfaces the most likely matches, and highlights where the same purchase or emission may already be recorded—so you can resolve uncertainty faster.

We’ve added a new scheduling option to give you finer control over who receives your climate training quizzes. When setting up a training schedule or batch assignment, admins can now choose whether to send the quiz to all employees or restrict it only to those who have not yet completed that specific quiz in any past cycle.

This simple checkbox on the "Set your team's training schedule" form eliminates redundant quiz emails for returning employees, keeps your team's inboxes clean, and ensures training reminders reach only those who still need them.

Smart quiz targeting: exclude past responders from training schedules

Your GHG reports can now use emission factors from the Base Empreinte, ADEME's official reference database. Greenly has incorporated version 1.2 of the Base Empreinte datasets, so your calculations align with official French reference data and keep your reports audit-ready and compliant.

Quality controls now include AI-powered explanations to help you understand what triggered an alert and where to investigate. Starting with year-over-year quantity variations, the assistant gives clear context directly in the quality-control flow so teams can resolve issues faster and improve justifications.

Understand quality-control alerts faster with AI explanations

When reduction actions overlapped on the same scope, whichever was computed first could absorb most — or all — of the shared reduction, making it hard to judge if the investment behind an action was truly worth it.

The impact is now split proportionally, based on each action's reduction ratio and chosen implementation rate — only on the overlapping perimeter. Totals stay the same, but the fairer split makes it much clearer to estimate each action's real return.

This new computation strategy also brings faster simulations and computations, especially on consolidated accounts, and can be enabled per action plan.

Overlapping reduction actions now share impact fairly

When you view or export the granular audit view, graphs and files now keeps the supplier names you entered on import in a dedicated column — alongside the supplier matched from our database. No more confusion between your own label (e.g. "DHL Global Forwarding") and the matched supplier (e.g. "DHL Express").

The Emissions & Generation Resource Integrated Database (eGRID), published by the US EPA, provides GHG data about electricity consumption emissions in the US. eGRID emission factors are essential for American companies Scope 2 accuracy, and also feed into key Scope 3 categories such as Category 11 (Use of sold products) for industries like electronics.

eGRID provides emission factors at the eGRID subregion level: 27 geographic divisions designed so that resulting emission rates most accurately reflect generation and emissions from plants within each area. Which enables highly granular US electricity accounting.

The EPA recently published the second version of the 2023 eGRID edition which we used it to update our existing 2023 eGRID electricity consumption emission factors for the US. We also took this opportunity to improve our calculation methodology and recomputed the 2020, 2021, and 2022 emission factors accordingly, ensuring all years now reflect both the latest data and a consistent, more accurate methodology. For companies reporting on 2024 or later, we recommend using the 2023 factors as the closest available proxy until the next eGRID edition is published.

eGRID electricity emission factors updated to 2023, 2020 to 2023 US coverage refreshed

IEA electricity emission factors are a cornerstone of carbon accounting: they power Scope 2 calculations for every company consuming electricity, and also underpin key Scope 3 categories, such as Category 11 (Use of sold products), making them particularly significant for industries like electronics.

The IEA released its 2025 edition of the Emission Factors package in early 2026, with the most recent confirmed data covering electricity activities up to 2023. We used this latest release to refresh our 2020 to 2023 electricity consumption emission factors and to improve our calculation methodology, ensuring all years now reflect both the latest data and a consistent, more accurate methodology.

These updated factors cover around 200 geographic areas worldwide and span six distinct emission factor perimeters per country across Scope 2 and Scope 3. For companies reporting on 2024 or 2025 activities, we recommend using the 2023 factors as the closest available proxy until the IEA's next edition is published.
