Goals & Objectives 🔍

INOVIE Labosud, a member of the Inovie Group, was created in 2009. through the association of Doctors and Pharmaceutical Biologists, along with the merger of several laboratories located in the south of France.

This group of Medical Biology Laboratories has developed around the shared goal of maintaining local leadership in order to remain independent and in control of the product. This allows them to continue to innovate with the aim of meeting the expectations of the patients and health professionals in the best way possible.

Our vocation: To fully participate in the optimal care of our patients, by offering real expertise in Medical Biology.

Our fundamental values: Independence, Innovation, Excellence, Respect and Ethics.

Why carry out a GHG report? 🤔

In order to reduce our GHG emissions, it is essential to be able to measure them beforehand. This is why we wanted to calculate our carbon footprint with Greenly. Their tool allowed us to better structure our environmental policy and to draw our action plan to reduce our emissions in the long term.

Why Greenly? 🌱

The measurement solution proposed by Greenly is easy to use and saved us a lot of time. Moreover, their solution is well-recognized in the industry, and they have even obtained the French Tech Green 2020 label. Going with Greenly was an easy choice.

An update on Inovie Labosud’s carbon footprint 📊

INOVIE Labosud's carbon footprint does not only take into account direct and energy-related emissions (Scope 1 & 2) but also indirect emissions caused by service providers and services used by the company (Scope 3). Adding up all the emissions, INOVIE Labosud had a footprint of 19275t CO2e in 2021.

Inovie Labosud strives to reduce their emissions 📉

Our action plan must meet the objectives set by the Paris Agreement, which aim to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees.

In order to reach these goals, we need to involve all our  stakeholders:

 1. Fixed assets

Whether it is vehicles or office equipment, we need to consider the reusability, repairability and recyclability of the products we buy.

Giving a second or third life to our equipment by using reconditioned equipment and by working with eco-organizations offering to buy back computer equipment is a priority.

2. Purchases of services and products

The purchase of services and products represents our second largest source of emissions.

It is therefore important for us to implement a responsible purchasing policy and to continue to encourage our ecosystem to become involved.

3. Travel

There is a significant amount of GHG emissions generated during the transportation of samples to the technical platforms, and during the transportation of samples from patients' homes.

As our objective is to reduce our CO2 emissions by 5% by 2024, Inovie Labosud is committed to reducing its CO2 impact related to the transportation of goods by signing the voluntary charter Objectif CO2.

The impact of our employees' travel is taken into account, and through our employer mobility plan we are studying alternatives that promote low-carbon mobility.

Offsetting projects 🌱

We plan to conduct contribution projects to offset non-reducible CO2 emissions.

We are currently working on local and concrete projects in conjunction with the National Center for Forest Property (CNPF).
