Agnès Potier-Murphy, International Copywriter
Agnès Potier-Murphy is a bilingual copywriter with a background in linguistics and translation studies. Writing in English and French, she brings to her work an understanding of how language and culture shape the way ideas are received, and what it takes to make them land with equal precision on either side. She has spent years writing about sustainability, energy transition, and the regulatory and scientific landscape that surrounds them. Her background in teaching has led her to develop an instinct for the words that make difficult ideas click for the people who need them the most. Literary translation deepened that instinct, demanding both linguistic precision and the ability to carry meaning, register, and intent across languages without losing what made the original worth translating in the first place. Her translations have appeared in publications including The Kenyon Review and The Literary Review, and received Pushcart Prize nominations. Writing about sustainability draws on that full range, from bite-sized content designed to make complex topics more approachable to in-depth, rigorously researched pieces that leave no question unanswered. Convinced that the language used to communicate sustainability issues shapes understanding and drives concrete action, she joined Greenly to apply that philosophy to the science and stakes of decarbonisation.
